Gumblar Malware Reports

I recently read this news from AFP report were ScanSafe researchers determine a new activity from Gumblar which is known as a multi-functional malware which could spreads by attacking PC's by visiting hack web sources. According to report, Gumblar can steal users FTP credentials and can even hijack Google searches and replaced the result with malicious links from infected computers.

Gamblar Malware

According to Mary Landesman of ScanSafe, this malware has been detected last March 2009 but the domain gumblar.cn has been shutdown but reactivated after 24-hours. During that time, the Gumblar was looking for instructions from its server but because it's offline, it has been reactivated by the succeeding hours. I think the developer of this malware is already alerted that the Gumblar has been detected and try to look for another chance to work again.

Aware of this malware, it could threaten your private information anytime they want to hit your computers.
