PS3 Got a First Hacked
Engadget reported the exploitation of Sony PS3 resources, from system memory to the entire control of its processor from Georgz Hotz post on his blot, "Hello hypervisor, I'm geohot". He claimed that he cracked the PS3 internal device resources but previously, there is no vulnerabilities reported or starts to appear from the said gaming console but right now, it is finally confirmed that anyone could even take a led before of every games can eat your brains. According to Hotz:
I have read/write access to the entire system memory, and HV level access to the processor. In other words, I have hacked the PS3. The rest is just software. And reversing. I have a lot of reversing ahead of me, as I now have dumps of LV0 and LV1. I've also dumped the NAND without removing it or a modchip. This might be the start of flame that will boast the performance of the said firmware or probably, the start of never-ending trends of patches to be available for PlayStation. You can catch the entire report on the following web address below. I will do a little investigation for a while and make an update after the break.
